nc-dmv-appointments.com has shut down. The NC DMV updated its site, and there are open appointments at almost every location now.

I launched nc-dmv-appointments.com in March 2025 because the DMV site was hard to use and open appointments were scarce, even three months out. This site pulled every available appointment into one page you could sort and search, and it sent you a notification when one opened up near you. I kept it free because I don't think anyone should profit off a basic need like getting an ID, whether you use it to drive or to vote.
On June 1, 2026, the DMV launched a major update to their own site. There are open appointments at every location now, many only a few weeks out, so there's no longer a reason for a side project like this one to fill the gap.

I signed up and gave you my phone number. What happens to it?
I deleted it. The site only stored your phone number to send you appointment notifications, and I've removed all of that data, so none of your personal information is left.
How do I delete the app?
If you added it to your home screen, remove it like any other app: press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Delete. You don't need to do anything else.
